A Few Comments on the New Edition of Bartholomew of Messina’s Translation of Pseudo-Aristotle’s Physiognomonica

Abstract

Lisa Devriese’s critical edition of  Bartholomew of Messina’s translation of the pseudo-Aristotelian Physiognomonica is a fairly fine piece of scholarship. Still, in some respects, it can be improved. In particular, the Latin text and the indices contain a number of mistakes.
