Abstract

This paper proposes that the vulgate text of Giovanni da Serravalle’s commentary on Dante, Par. 6. 124 – 126 should be emended such that it reflects the norms of more standardly accepted musical theory. An emendation is also proposed to Vitruvius, De architectura 5. 4. 9.
